I developed afib and my cardiologist put me on diltiazem and then possibly an ablation. Not one interest in diet. So I spent around 5 years with intermittent afib episodes, trusting the doctor who didn't have a clue how to cure my condition. I finally stumbled on a paper in pub med about L-arginine and taurine taken together, started doing that, and now, for around 6 months, I have never had even a single episode. NO fears of afib episodes at all. Totally stable heart rate...Cardiologists are currently literally injuring their patients with medications and their side effects and ablations when a few supplements and stopping caffeine and alcohol will create a cure. I just don't get it how such smart people in medicine can be so blind to the real cures. Big Pharma rules and it's ruining our health.

Dr. Means, with all due respect, the comment about eating what you kill is not something bad. It is the real world. There is nothing wrong with being paid for your expertise. Students go into specialities because they are more prestigious and they pay well. The prestige of being a specialist is a big driver. Personally i can't stand specialists as they have mismanaged my health care due to silo-ing and the family doctors, terrified to exercise their superpowers, defer to specialists all the time and they're basically symptom sorters who can prescribe drugs, so slightly better than Dr. Google. So many things specialists do can be done by family doctors, including care of pregnant women. I come from a long line of md specialists, who are up in arms that my son is going to be a family doctor...because he is so bright. Here is the problem with the doctors: smarter ones become specialists, dumber ones become family doctors. Frankly, family med is extremely difficult based on how much you need to know and the need to be able to put together the information. You need smarter people if you want good generalists. Patients notice how useless their family doctors are and go straight to specialists, not understanding how bad that actually is for their health. There are few medical situations where the specialists are the right ones from the start- like Ob-gyn. But headaches? It's not a trip to the neurologist immediately. Ditto weird skin tags are not a trip to the dermatologist and yet that's what we do. You sound like someone who would make a great family doctor. What a shame you were not given better advice in med school.

I just found you from a Dr. Ken Berry video. I was wondering if you could make a video about cervical dysplasia and if there are benefits from the carnivore diet to help with it. I have CIN 3 and my doctor told me I can wait and monitor it but risk it progressing to cancer or to get a hysterectomy. My LEEP had a clear endocervical margin, but ectocervical margin wasn't clear. I'm so torn about what to do but I'd love to know what you think especially regarding way diet, supplements, lifestyle can help it regress.

I really had to pause this video. Bariatric surgery is the reason I was able to change my lifestyle and mentality. I would have never changed my life around. I was educated on foods, and have continued my education, that’s why I’m watching this video. I don’t have PCOS. However I’m very fascinated by how food directly correlates to illness. Bariatric allowed my whole mental process to evolve by having to withdraw from the Americanized diet.

It’s an odd syndrome. It’s vastly different for each woman suffering with it. And it’s so frustrating 😮 I was diagnosed based off of hirsutism and insulin resistance, but I ovulate every month and have regular periods. Never had an ultrasound on my ovaries, none of my doctors ever orders one. I guess the hair and insulin was enough criteria haha.

Just came across you after listening to you and dr minkoff..fun to listen to your fridge tour..great idea for you or anyone..you said you dont eat pasta anymore. Me either, but get hearts of palm noodles! One brand is Palmini, but cheapest and freat is at Aldi. They only carry angel hair and linguini..awesome with Raos sauce and meatballs or ground beef, and parm. You wint know diff! I use in chicken 'noodle' soup too. Or any of the Palmini ones, riced hearts of palm good in soup too. I pan fry hearts of palm with broccoli and spices, and scrambled eggs, bits of bacon and italian spices or anything..great and fast!!😊
